After reading Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes with her reading group, Kaylee S. was inspired by the book's message, and decided to make her own paper cranes, one thousand of them using origami, a traditional Japanese art form of folding paper. Kaylee is donating her creations to a local hospital for patients with leukemia. Helping Kaylee make some paper cranes are Nate, Haley and Amber. |
