Dear Families,

Welcome to second grade. I am excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I am looking forward to a happy and productive school year.

Before I give you any other information about the year, let me introduce myself.

I am Mrs. Diane Baker. I have lived in Windsor since 1986 with my husband and three children. My youngest child is in his second year of college and my other children and their families continue to work and live in the area. This will be my twelfth year employed by the district. i consider myself fortunate to be working at A.F. Palmer among such a professional and dedicated faculty.

I realize that teaching your child is a priviledge, as well as a tremendous responsibility. I will do my best to ensure that each student has a motivating and safe learning experience in my classroom. I will be sending a brief summary of what is covered this year, as well as my expectations when school begins.I know that it will be helpful in knowing the supply list as I can predict it to be at this time.

Supplies needed:

• pencils #2 with erasers and a pencil eraser
• hand held pencil sharpener
• scissors
• standard size clipboard
• 3-two pocket folders
• crayons
• something to keep supplies in (pencil box)
• tennis shoes for P.E.
• school bag/backpack
